A brief description of how the cycle maps work

Basically every turning is photographed as well as detailed on the map and described in the text. The routes are cycled anti-clockwise so for the most part left turns are only made avoiding more difficult right hand turns.

If you are in the area for a length of time you may want to do the coast to coast cycle route which passes through Allenheads. Plus there are a growing number of marked cycle routes in the near area such as the Tyne Valley and Keilder. Most routes are very quiet making the cycling more enjoyable.
