As BAS were honoured guest and partners in the WISE ISODYN project the Union Jack was flown at the base
and there was an opening ceremony for the base.   Around the base are tonnes of Skua's Hugh claims they are
evil bastards and would attack you, having seen them in March of the penguins I can now see why he says this.
The Italians took us to see the Emperor Penguins at Cape Washington something we weren't expecting but it made
it an extremely cool day (sorry no pun intended)  + the helicopter ride there was awesome!!!
